Reconstruction of the wastewater treatment plant of Sliven has started, which will affect more than 96,000 equivalent inhabitants

After the completion of the project by 2023, the wastewater treatment of Sliven and Rechitsa district, or a total of over 96,000 equivalent inhabitants (residents and industry), will be ensured, as well as the roads to it will be repaired.

At an official “First Ground” ceremony, the site “Reconstruction of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) – Sliven of the Sliven Agglomeration under project #BG16M1OP002-1.016-0008 was launched. The reconstruction is part of the activities under the project “Completion and rehabilitation of the water supply and sewerage infrastructure in agglomerations with a population of over 10,000 equivalent inhabitants, falling within the scope of the designated territory of “Water Supply and Sewerage – Sliven” OOD” and is being implemented with the financial support of Operational program “Environment 2014 – 2020” worth BGN 10 million. Beneficiary is “Water Supply and Sewerage – Sliven” Ltd.

After the completion of the project by 2023, the wastewater treatment of Sliven and Rechitsa district, or a total of over 96,000 equivalent inhabitants (residents and industry), will be ensured, as well as the roads to it will be repaired.

With the implementation of the goals of the project, a safer and cleaner environment for the citizens of the city of Sliven will be achieved and ensured, as well as the European requirements and standards for waste water disposal will be reached.
